much for providing such great support. I could not do nearly as good as I did
without you. I highly recommend hiring professional Doula like Lauren is. Im
from Russia
and my family could not be there with me. Lauren gave me all emotional and
physical support I needed. She was there for me when I had contractions for 3
days. She was on the phone with me during the night time and came to my house
during the day. She is very knowledgeable about everything: acupressure points,
how to rotate a breach baby, hypnobirthing and so much more. She can answer any
of your question about birthing process and tell her opinion. But she never
insist, she let you pick what is more comfortable for you. I was able to have a
natural (vaginal) birth even though I was exhausted. She took amazing pictures and stayed
with me a couple more hours after to make sure im fine. Lauren, you can give my

| Without Lauren by my side I think the pain of labor would've driven me insane! Her support- both emotional and physical- were so key in getting me through most of labor at home, and in helping me push for a record-short period of time! We will call on Lauren the next time we do this for sure.

For a first pregnancy, I have no idea what I could have done without your support Lauren. Your continual availability, day and night, was especially very comforting for me and my husband. You have helped shed a great big light on how to enjoy my pregnancy in an angle that was not available at my medical appointments. It felt really good to learn to be in sync with my changing body beyond the purely medical approach. This played a huge role in preparing me physically, emotionally and spiritually for natural childbirth. I was able to embrace the process of labor with total serenity and excitement. I felt ready and delighted when time came. Everytime you held my hand and helped me breathed through a contraction, I knew I was ok. Your guidance was equally soothing for my husband who knew he could rely on you.
Although the birthing process changed courses as labor went on, I do not believe there was something I could do differently I had the possibility of going back. It is a shame that maternity staff is not readily enthuzed to work with doulas. Sorry they became the stumbling block for your performance at the hospital; but you were great Lauren!

| When I decided to have a hospital birth, I knew I wanted to keep it has natural as possible. Having Lauren as my Doula helped me achieve the birth that I really wanted. I had to be given Pitocin to help my labor progress and I don't think I would have made it through without an epidural if Lauren was not by myside in those tough moments. She assured me that I could make it through each contraction and reassured me that "I can do this, I *am* doing this". My fiancee was also supported by Lauren as she guided him on how to give me Reiki as I breathed through my labor. In the most cruical moments Lauren was there to keep me focused, keep me breathing and most of all, to hold my hand. You don't realize what a difference that makes. Our son was born healthy and strong and with Lauren's help I was able to have a natural/vagainal birth, even with Pitocin ( which made me very proud). Thank you Lauren! -Ariana

You were a huge help during both our prolonged early labor and our rapid active labor. During active labor, it was empowering having you with us at the hospital. Olga, without your expertise and experience, things would have taken a very different course. Without you, I don't think my wife's priorities would have been respected, or that we would have had nearly as much confidence in ourselves. You also helped direct my actions in ways that made me more supportive of my wife's needs at critical moments. In the chaos of labor, there were only two sources of stability, breathing and you. No question, my sister will have a Doula for hers.
